Forgetting That Our Pets Are Not Biologically Ours: Hilarious Moments All Cat And Dog Owners Could Relate To

We love our pets. A lot. Like- really a lot. And we 100% treat our pets like they are a part of our family. We talk to our pets as if they can understand us. We cuddle with our pets because hey, if we need contact and love, then so do they. We buy our pets fun toys and delicious food and cool gifts and everything else that we think they might want. We treat them so much like they are our family that sometimes… we legitimately forget that they are not, in fact, biologically ours.

Hey, it happens sometimes. Don't judge us. It's not that we forget, it's that we forget for a moment. We say something to them and expect them to understand, we expect them to do something that they can't possibly do, we just- slip up. And it's okay. But it's also really, really funny.

The number of times that we have made mistakes similar to this… SMH, it happens all the time. And that is simply because we love these itty bitty creatures so much that we legitimately think of them as family. So, it only makes sense that we will treat them like family as well.

Seeing everyone in the comments relate to this post so much honestly makes us so happy. To know that so many pet owners out there love their pets to this degree… gives us a little extra hope for humanity. It reminds us that humans, at the end of the day, are pretty heckin' kind.
